Sunday, December 1, 2024, starting around 5:45pm, Emily and Bill perform 2 sets of seasonal music at
Magic at the Mill!
This is the 24th year of one of Salem’s most beloved events. It’s set at the historic
Willamette Heritage Center, where lots of 19th century buildings are strewn throughout 5 acres, perfect for strolling. It’s made more beautiful at this once-a-year event with thousands of twinkling lights, live music, shopping, food, children’s activities, Santa and more! If you’ve never been, you don’t know what you’re missing.
Magic at the Mill runs November 29 – December 2, 2024, 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM. CONSTANT BILLY will be performing Sunday, December 1 from 5:45-6:45pm and again from 7:00-7:45pm; both shows in the 1858 Church. Your entrance fee means you can catch both sets if you like- each will have different music. It’s an intimate space, and we will be performing with minimal sound reinforcement. Visitors can enter the Warehouse (the front main entrance) to eat at the café and do a little holiday shopping. Ticketed visitors are encouraged to walk the grounds and stop by the 1858 CHURCH, where you can hear us play. Here’s a map of the site; the 1858 CHURCH, where we will be, is #4.
For this special event, we will perform some familiar holiday favorites like “Silent Night” and “Feliz Navidad.” But we will also share a very
Constant Billy mix of some lovely old songs like “The Manger Throne” and “Tàladh Chrìosda” that you will never hear in a shopping mall. And we will throw in some old wassailing songs, wren songs, and traditional tunes of the season from America, England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales and the Isle of Man. It will be a truly unique experience. And a lot of fun!
There is an admission fee. Word to the Wise: tickets are now on sale online only. Get ‘em as soon as you can because admission will be limited, and if you wait to purchase tix at the door, they may be sold out. We hope to see you there to share a Magic time with us!

Constant Billy performs at The Salem Folklore Community Holiday Coffeehouse!
Join us again this year for an evening of acoustic music performances, readings, and singalongs from some of the area’s finest performers. The location is the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Salem, 5090 Center St NE, Salem, OR 97317-3215. This is a bigger venue than last year’s concert because last year sold out! Doors open at 6:30pm welcoming you to hot cider, coffee, and goodies. Constant Billy kicks off the music at 7:00pm so don’t be late! This year’s lineup is:

Constant Billy does a Very Special show at Bush House Museum in Salem.
What would Christmas music have sounded like to Charles Dickens, Queen Victoria or Asahel Bush and family? Asahel Bush, who founded both the Oregon Statesman newspaper and Ladd & Bush Bank, built his stately home in Salem in 1878. Located in Bush’s Pasture Park, the house is now a museum and will be open to the public for free on December 7, 2024 from 1pm-4pm. Constant Billy will put on a special holiday performance of music from the period when Bush House was completed, and the Bush family was in residence. Come tour this lovely old mansion while we perform Seasonal music popular in the late 19th century and the early 20th century.
To help you go back in time with us, Constant Billy will perform in period dress. We will sing a cappella music (songs with no instruments) as well as tunes and songs with both acoustic instruments and vocals. Following our show, violinist Jenny Gleason and cellist Cathy Heithaus will perform classical music from 2:30pm-4pm.
There’s NO charge to attend, so come on out and enjoy the warmth of the mansion on a chilly day, filled with music from a bygone era!

Saturday, December 14th, from 1-2pm, Constant Billy performs seasonal songs and tunes at The Oregon Garden Holiday Bazaar, Silverton, Oregon! Not to be confused with the Silverton Christmas Market, this is a fun event with entertainment, food & beverage, and Christmas shopping! There are 20 vendors selling giftie things like woodcraft, candles, jewelry- the list goes on and on. The Bazaar will run Saturday, December 14th from 10am to 3pm, and
Sunday, December 15th from 10am to 3pm. Constant Billy will perform indoors from 1-2pm Saturday December 14th. Come on out- everyone you know will be there!
